Latest Regarding Possible Changes To Dolphins’ Power Structure

According to Jason La Canfora, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is considering “sweeping changes” to the team’s power structure, which includes executive Mike Tannenbaum and HC Adam Gase.

However, La Canfora says that Dolphins GM Chris Grier is expected to survive any potential purge.

Regarding Tannenbaum and Gase, La Canfora mentions that both are in jeopardy of being let go. Ross has reportedly indicated to associates at various points throughout this season that he believes change may be necessary and the expectation is that he’ll make at least one significant change to the structure of the organization.

If the Dolphins are search for an executive, La Canfora mentions Vikings assistant GM George Paton as a name worth watching. Paton is highly regarded, according to La Canfora, has previous experience working for the Dolphins and is considered to be a top GM candidate.

While multiple reports have said that changes are being discussed in Miami, La Canfora admits that Ross could elect to keep a coach or executive in place such as Gase, who would be a preferable head coach to many of GM candidates.

We’ll have more regarding the Dolphins as the news is available.

  1. Ross just makes bad decisions whenever it’s time to make changes. He either keeps the HC and gets rid of GM, or some other thing. CLEAN HOUSE. Start over with a strong GM and let the GM pick his HC.
