Former No. 4 Overall Pick Aaron Curry To Retires From The NFL

After recently being released by the Giants this preseason, LB Aaron Curry announced this morning that he will be retiring from the NFL, via his Twitter account.

Curry, 27, was a former No. 4 overall pick of the Seahawks. Following a 35 game career with the Seahawks, Curry was traded to the Raiders for a seventh-round pick.

Recently, Curry admitted to losing motivation after he received a guaranteed $35 million rookie contract following the 2009 NFL Draft. Since then, he’s been trying to catch on with a new team, but has dealt with chronic knee issues over the years. He figures to go down as one of the biggest NFL draft busts in recent history.
