Lions Place OT Corey Hilliard On Season-Ending I.R.

Update:

Tim Twentyman reports that the Lions have placed OT Corey Hilliard on season-ending injured reserve with a foot injury.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that Lions OT Corey Hilliard is expected to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.

Detroit has LaAdrian Waddle currently listed as their starting right tackle on their depth chart, but he left with a calf injury, which opened the door for Hilliard to play 63 snaps on Monday.

With both players dealing with injuries, undrafted rookie Cornelius Lucas would like be next in line to handle the right tackle job, but it would not be surprising to see Detroit add some depth at the position.

Hilliard, 29, is in the final year of his contract and will make $1.285 million for the 2014 season. Last year, he appeared in nine games for the Lions.
