Lions Promote QB Jake Rudock To Active Roster

According to Dave Birkett, the Lions have promoted QB Jake Rudock from their practice squad to the active roster.

BirkettĀ also reported that the Bears attempted to sign Rudock off Detroit’s practice squad, but the Lions did not want to lose him.

Rudock, 23, is a former sixth-round pick by the Lions of the 2016 NFL Draft. Detroit elected to waive him as they trimmed down to the 53-man limit and signed him to their practice squad after clearing waivers.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his three-year college career at Iowa and Michigan, Rudock accumulated 7,836 passing yards with 54 touchdowns, 27 interceptions, and had a 134.1 passer rating.
