Mathis, who will be 33 years old later this month, is no longer the Pro-Bowler he once was, especially after having torn his ACL in 2011. However, he will add some much needed veteran presence on a young Lions defense. Mathis more than likely will be a package or rotation player as long as his knee remains healthy enough.
