Michael Roos Open To Returning To Titans As Right Tackle Next Year

Terry McCormick of 247Sports, citing a league source, reports that Titans long-time LT Michael Roos is open to the possibility of re-signing with Tennessee and taking over as their right tackle next season.

Roos’ 2014 season came to an end after he sustained a knee injury that forced them to place him on the injured reserve list back in October.

The Titans used a first-round pick on Taylor Lewan back in May, and his rookie season has been impressive enough for them to feel pretty good about moving forward with him manning the blindside next year.

Roos, 32, is set to be an unrestricted free agent and happens to be one of the best available offensive tackle options in next year’s market. He’s finishing up his six-year $43 million contract.

Despite having his season cut short, Pro Football Focus has Roos rated as the No. 22 offensive tackle in the league with positive grades in both run and pass-protection.
