Cowboys

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday in an interview with 105.3 The Fan that the report of owners discussing a nuclear option (NFLTR) that could result in him being forced to forfeit ownership of the Dallas franchise is “laughable and ridiculous.”

“I’ve had not one — not one — inkling of communication from the league office or any owner that would suggest something that laughable and ridiculous, and that’s about where that is,” Jones said, via CBS DFW“If somebody is asserting that or thinking about that kind of thing, then they are not knowledgeable about how things work in the NFL.

Packers

  • Packers HC Mike McCarthy told reporters that while RB Ty Montgomery is still working through exams, there’s a chance for him (to play) this week.

Panthers

  • Panthers rookie RB Curtis Samuel appears to have suffered a serious ankle injury during Monday night’s win over the Dolphins, according to the Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer.
  • A team source tells Fowler that Samuel’s injury could be worse than just a high ankle sprain.
