Panthers

• According to Tom Pelissero, the Panthers signed veteran RB C.J. Anderson to a one-year deal worth $1.75 million, which includes $500K to sign. Anderson has $350K tied to per-game roster bonuses and the contract can max out at $2.6 million with incentives.
• Jourdan Rodrigue reports that ECU LB Zeek Bigger, UNC OL Lucas Crowley, UNC WR Bug Howard, Charlotte RB Kalif Phillips, NC State CB Mike Stevens, Wake Forest CB Brad Watson, Houston FB Tyler McCloskey and Hawaii FB Joey Iosefa will be among those trying out for the Panthers this weekend.

Seahawks

• Adam Schefter reports that Colin Kaepernick and his attorneys took depositions in his collusion grievance from Seahawks HC Pete Carroll on Thursday and from GM John Schneider on Wednesday.
• According to Schefter, while the Seahawks expressed interest in Kaepernick this offseason, he no longer appears to be in their plans.
• Jason La Canfora writes that the Seahawks should try to sign free agent WR Dez Bryant to a one-year contract worth $5 million as opposed to signing Brandon Marshall, who is visiting with Seattle, for around $2 million or so.
