NFC South Notes: Buccaneers, Falcons, Panthers

Buccaneers

  • According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, if the Buccaneers elect to move on from QB Jameis Winston this offseason, they could pursue Saints QB Teddy Bridgewater as a replacement.
  • Stroud points out Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians was complementary of Bridgewater and his playing style after he beat Tampa Bay in a game earlier this season.
  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Buccaneers hosted S Deiondre Hall for a visit on Monday.

Falcons

  • According to SiriusXM NFL Radio’s Alex Marvez, Browns DL coach Tosh Lupoi has interviewed for a position on the Falcons staff.

Panthers

  • The Athletic’s Joseph Person identifies the defensive line as the biggest question mark for the Panthers to sort out this offseason besides quarterback, as LBs Bruce Irvin and Mario Addison and DTs Gerald McCoy and Vernon Butler are all free agents.
  • Person said Irvin and McCoy could leave to try to join another contender, while Carolina will monitor the market for those two and Addison when deciding if they want to re-sign them.
  • Person mentions the Redskins could be interested in signing S Tre Boston if he leaves the Panthers, as well as other veterans Carolina may move on from this offseason.
