NFC South Notes: Falcons, Panthers, Saints

Falcons

Panthers

  • The Panthers officially ruled out TE Greg Olsen for Week 5’s game against the Giants.
  • There was a report from earlier in the day that Olsen could return this weekend, but it looks like Week 6 is worth watching for him.
  • Panthers HC Ron Rivera announced that Eric Reid will start at safety for them on Sunday.

Saints

Saints RB Mark Ingram says he’s excited to be back with the team after serving his four-game suspension and “ready to play ball.”

“I’m going to be excited, for sure, I’ve had a lot of stuff pent up and built up,” Ingram said, via NewOrleansSaints.com. “I’m ready to go. I’m hungry and ready to play ball.

Ingram added that it wasn’t fun watching the team play without him for the first month of the season.

“[Sundays] sucked, yeah, they weren’t cool,” Ingram added. “But we were winning games; it made it better. So, I was excited to see us winning and playing well, and just being able to get back with these guys and be with the team, of course, it was something I was looking forward to every day.
