NFC West Notes: Cardinals, 49ers, Rams, Seahawks

Cardinals

  • Per Kyle Odegard of the team website, Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson, who’s been the subject of some trade rumors the past couple of years, said as long as it’s up to him, he’ll be back in Arizona next year: “This won’t be my last home game here. I’ll be back.”
  • Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald may have just played his final home game as an Arizona Cardinal, but he wasn’t approaching it with any sentimentality after the game: “I told you guys, it’s a job. I love what I do, but when it’s over, it’s over and I’m not going to lose any sleep.” (Josh Weinfuss)
  • Cardinals declined to activate OT Jordan Mills from injured reserve. (NFLTR)

49ers

Rams

  • According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Rams CB Troy Hill is having thumb surgery this week but still expects to be able to play Saturday against the 49ers. 

Seahawks

  • Regarding Josh Gordon’s indefinite suspension, Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said they learned today of his suspension: “He was great. We were not aware there was anything to be concerned about other than the history.” (Curtis Crabtree)
  • Carroll said of their receiving corps group moving forward without Gordon: “We’re in good shape right now at the position.” (Curtis Crabtree)
  • Seahawks officially placed Gordon on the suspended list Monday. (NFLTR)
  • According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Seahawks S Quandre Diggs‘ sprained ankle will likely keep him out of this week’s game. 
  • Carroll expects both DEs Jadeveon Clowney and Ezekiel Ansah to return this week. (Adam Jude)
  • Carroll adds Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner doesn’t foresee his ankle injury being an issue for his availability in Seattle’s next game. (John Boyle)
