NFL News: Bills Are Done With Marcus Stroud

If it wasn’t already bad enough for the Buffalo Bills fans, the team has reportedly released defensive tackle Marcus Stroud after three years with in Buffalo.

What makes the situation so bad is that the Bills gave up their third and fifth-round picks in the 2008 draft in return for him and then later extended his contract another two seasons, even though he was under contract until 2010, and gave him an added $20.5 million. Not only had Stroud been hampered by injuries before the extension but Marcus Stroud wound up being the center piece of one of the league worst run defenses year in and year out so the deal was ill conceived to say the least.

Hopefully G.M. Buddy Nix will begin correcting the terrible decisions that have constantly plagued Buffalo for some years now.
