• Albert Breer reports that if the NFL recognizes the time served by Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, it’s possible that some of the $6.22 million he was paid during his time off could be recouped in the form of a fine.

• Ian Rapoport reports that the 49ers have “dodged a bullet” with rookie WR Bruce Ellington as an MRI revealed that he has just a sprained ankle and is day to day.

Bears
