NFL Notes: Bears, Browns, Ravens, Seahawks, & Steelers

Bears

• Mike Garafolo reports that the Bears are expected to reach an agreement with first-round pick WR Kevin White at some point in the near future.
• Garafolo mentions that Chicago should have their entire rookie class under contract soon enough.

Browns

• According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Browns were considering USC WR Nelson Agholor at No. 19 overall, but decided to select Florida State OL Cam Erving instead.

Ravens

• Aaron Wilson reports that Wyoming DT Patrick Mertens has been invited to the Ravens’ rookie minicamp on tryout basis.
• Mertens will audition as a defensive end for the Ravens.

Seahawks

• The Seahawks waived five players on Tuesday, including: OT Justin Renfrow, LB Mike Taylor (failed physical), DE Julius Warmsley, C Jared Wheeler, and LB Mike Zimmer.

Steelers

• Aaron Wilson reports that Indiana long snapper Matt Dooley has been invited to attend the Steelers rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
