• HC Ron Rivera said that DE Greg Hardy‘s absence from Wednesday’s practice was excused and he expects Hardy to play in Week 2. (Dave Birkett)

• HC Jay Gruden told reporters that TE Jordan Reed is dealing with a “minor” hamstring strain, but he added that there is little chance of Reed playing in Week 2. (Britt McHenry)
