Browns

  • Tony Grossi predicts that the Browns will wait for GM Ray Farmer to return from suspension before pulling plug on veteran WR Dwayne Bowe, who is inactive again today.

Eagles

  • Les Bowen reports that Eagles ILB Kiko Alonso is expected to see Dr. James Andrews this week for a second opinion on his ACL tear.
  • Bowen adds that Alonso will likely undergo a second MRI on his knee.

Patriots

  • Adam Schefter points out that the Jaguars traded a second and seventh-round picks to the Patriots for third-round CB Derek Cox back in 2009.
  • The two picks New England received wound up being a WR Julian Edelman and TE Rob Gronkowski.

Seahawks

  • Jason La Canfora of CBS (Via Pro Football Talk) reports that the Seahawks will collect a “sizable chunk” of the money from S Kam Chancellor for holding out of training camp and the first two games of the season, in order to deter other players from holding out such as DE Michael Bennett.
