Browns

Browns sixth-round DL Caleb Brantley wouldn’t discuss his pending legal case with reporters on Friday.

“I ain’t going to say I did hear all the stuff that was said about me, but there’s definitely a chip on my shoulder,” Brantley said, via ESPN.com. “I’m just going to go out and prove everybody wrong who said bad things about me, said I have character issues and all of that. But … I ain’t really worried about it. I’m just ready to move on.”

The Browns have said that the possibility exists that they could still cut Brantley, despite drafting him a few weeks ago. However, Brantley isn’t overly concerned about the possibility.

“I wouldn’t say it was hanging over me,” Brantley said. “I’m just thankful for the opportunity that the Browns gave me. I’m just thankful I get to be here and try to make the team.”

Jets

Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson took issue with critics who claimed his disappointing 2016 season was due to a lack of motivation.

“I have a chip on my shoulder,” Wilkerson said, per Rich Cimini. “People feel that I was just money hungry and just took the money and now I’m lazy, but I can prove to people that it’s more than about money with me.“
