Buccaneers

Chargers

• HC Mike McCoy said on Monday that they will look to add a new running back in the next 24 hours. (Michael Gehlken)

Packers

• HC Mike McCarthy told reporters on Monday that RB Eddie Lacy “needs to play better.”

“Eddie needs to play better,” McCarthy said, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I’m not going to do this anymore. I don’t correct individuals in the media. We’ve seen the film, corrections have been made, our running game wasn’t nearly what it needed to be. Not even close.”

Seahawks

• HC Pete Carroll told reporters on Monday that S Kam Chancellor is dealing with a severe ankle pain, and he even considered undergoing surgery last week. (Curtis Crabtree)

• QB Matt Cassel will meet with Dr. Robert Anderson on Thursday and should have a better idea of his timetable at that point. (Albert Breer)
