NFL Notes: Cardinals, Cowboys, Dolphins, Giants, & Redskins

According to Jean-Jacques Taylor of ESPN Dallas, former first-round pick CB Morris Claiborne stormed out of Tuesday’s walkthrough after the team informed him that he has lost his starting job to Orlando Scandrick.

Claiborne could be subject to fines for missing the practice or conduct detrimental to the team.

Owner Jerry Jones mentioned in a recent radio interview that Morris is not the player they were hoping for when they took him at No. 6 overall a few years ago.

“Is he what we had hoped for at this point when we drafted him with the sixth overall pick, giving up the [second-round] pick to go up to the sixth pick to get him? No,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. “But he’s going to be a good player.”

Last weekend, Claiborne allowed five receptions for 108 yards and a 51-yard touchdown.
