NFL Notes: Colts, Cowboys, Packers, & Texans

Colts

Cowboys

Packers

  • Pete Dougherty believes the Packers must sign a No. 1 receiver this offseason through the NFL Draft or free agency.
  • Dougherty writes that WRs Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb appear to have lost their explosiveness after dealing with injuries in recent years, while Davante Adams is not a big play receiver.
  • If the Packers had to release Nelson or Cobb, Dougherty thinks the team would keep Nelson due to his size and athleticism.
  • Doughtery mentions Bears WR Alshon Jeffery and Browns WR Terrelle Pryor as two possible free agents that the Packers could pursue this offseason.
  • Regardless, Doughtery thinks it’s most likely for Green Bay to look towards the NFL Draft to sign a receiver.
  • Packers have downgraded RG T.J. Lang and C J.C. Tretter to out for Sunday’s game and listed CB Damarious Randall (groin) as questionable.
