Broncos
- According to Mike Klis, the Broncos increased their offer to QB Brock Osweiler from a three-year deal for over $45 million, to four years for over $64 million.
- Klis adds the Broncos assumed Osweiler did not want to return to Denver when he stopped returning phone calls to coaches and teammates for the past two weeks.
Raiders
- According to Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area, the Raiders believe they have made a “solid pitch” to free agent CB Sean Smith, but there is no word on whether Smith intends to join the team.
Seahawks
- ESPN names DT Jordan Hill and DT A.J. Francis as potential replacements for DT Brandon Mebane who are currently on the roster, while DT Tony McDaniel and DL Sealver Siliga are mentioned as outside options that are familiar with Seattle’s coaching staff.
- As for free agent options, the Seahawks have interest in Eagles free agent DE Cedric Thornton.
- ESPN believes Chiefs free agent DE Jaye Howard, Saints free agent DT Akiem Hicks and Rams free agent DT Nick Fairley would be out of the Seahawks’ price range.
Steelers
- Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network reports that people within the Steelers like free agent S Eric Weddle, but hope that his price goes down.
Vikings
- Adam Caplan mentions former Cowboys free agent TE James Hanna as a player to keep an eye on who could possibly replace FB Rrett Ellison.
- According to Darren Wolfson, the Vikings will pick up extension negotiations with veteran free agent CB Terence Newman on Wednesday night or Thursday.
