The Green Bay Packers announced Saturday that they’ve signed TEÂ Emanuel Byrd to a contract.
Byrd, 22, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall back in May. However, he was just recently cut loose.
During his college career, Byrd made the transition from quarterback to tight end and appeared in 21 total games at Marshall. he caught 45 passes for 456 yards receiving (10.1 YPR) to go along with four touchdowns.
