Panthers Placing WR/KR Damiere Byrd On IR With Broken Arm

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Panthers WR/KR Damiere Byrd suffered a broken arm in Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks and is expected to be placed on injured reserve.

Byrd, 26, wound up signing on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2015. Since then Byrd has been on and off of their active roster.

Last year, the Panthers placed Byrd on injured reserve with a fractured forearm before activating him later on the season. Unfortunately, Carolina once again placed Byrd on injured reserve a few weeks later.

The Panthers re-signed Byrd to a one-year contract last Apri.

In 2018, Byrd appeared in eight games for the Panthers and caught one pass for eight yards receiving to go along with 138 return yards.
