Panthers Sign 13 To Practice Squad

The Panthers announced on Sunday they have added 13 players to the initial practice squad.

The list includes:

    1. DT Myles Adams
    2. DT Woodrow Hamilton
    3. DT Bruce Hector
    4. G Mike Horton
    5. WR Ishmael Hyman
    6. DE Austin Larkin
    7. WR Marken Michel
    8. LB Chris Orr
    9. TE Giovanni Ricci
    10. C Sam Tecklenburg
    11. K/P Kaare Vedvik
    12. RB Reggie Bonnafon
    13. DB Natrell Jamerson

Bonnafon, 24, signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville in 2018. He was waived coming out of the preseason and brought back on the practice squad, where he spent the rest of the season.

Bonnafon re-signed with the Panthers on a futures deal for 2019. He ended up making the final roster at the end of the preseason. He re-signed as an exclusive rights free agent for 2020 before being cut coming out of camp.

In 2019, Bonnafon appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and rushed 16 times for 116 yards and a touchdown, adding six catches for 57 yards receiving.

Vedvik, 26, wound up signing on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $570,000 for the 2019 season.

The Ravens traded Vedvik to the Vikings for a fifth-round pick, but he was cut loose after only a few weeks. New York claimed Vedvik off of waivers before waiving him a few weeks into the regular season.

Vedvik later signed on to the Bears’ practice squad in December. From there, he agreed to a futures contract with the Bills before being waived on Wednesday. Carolina claimed him off waivers.

During his college career at Marshall, Vedvik converted 10 of 16 field goal attempts (62.5 percent) to go along with 41 of 42 extra point tries (97.6 percent) over the course of 26 games.
