Carolina also worked out QB Bryce Perkins, per Pro Football Talk. The team is evidently at least updating its emergency list if they need to sign another quarterback for depth at some point.

The full workout list, according to Aaron Wilson:

  1. Mond
  2. Perkins
  3. WR Matt Landers
  4. WR Zavier Scott
  5. WR Thyrick Pitts

Mond, 24, was a four-year starter at Texas A&M and left as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards, completions, pass attempts, passing touchdowns, and total offense. The Vikings selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Mond signed a four-year, $5,223,414 contract that includes a $1,158,847 signing bonus. Minnesota waived him after just one year, however, and he was claimed by the Browns.

During his four-year career at Texas A&M, Mond completed 59.0 percent of his pass attempts for 9,661 yards, 71 touchdowns and 27 interceptions. He also rushed 438 times for 1,608 yards and 22 touchdowns in 47 career games.

In 2021, Mond appeared in one game for the Vikings and completed two of his three passing attempts for five yards.

Perkins, 26, signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia back in 2020. He was among their final roster cuts coming out of training camp and re-signed to Los Angeles’ practice squad.

Perkins spent time on and off the team’s active roster until being re-signed to a future contract back in 2021. Perkins became an unrestricted free-agent this off-season.

In 2022, Perkins appeared in five games for the Rams. He completed 19 of his 34 passes (55.9%) for 161 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He also added 90 rushing yards on 19 carries (4.7 YPC).

During his college career, Perkins recorded 544 completions on 844 pass attempts (64.5 percent) for 6,210 yards, 47 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions.
