Patriots Sign Ben Hartsock, Steve Maneri, Terrence Miller, Waive Three

Field Yates of ESPN.com reports that the New England Patriots have officially signed TEs Ben Hartsock, Steve Maneri and Terrence Miller.

  • New England also waived RB Stephen Houston and TEs Asa Watson and Justin Jones  .

Hartsock, 34, is an eleven-year veteran who previously played for the Colts, Titans, Falcons, Jets and Panthers. Last year, he appeared in 13 games for the Panthers, but didn’t record a single statistic.

Maneri, 26, signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Temple, but lasted just a few months with the team before he was placed on waivers and later claimed by the Patriots. Maneri has also played for the Chiefs, Bears and Buccaneers.

He appeared in fours games for Tampa Bay last season, but didn’t record a single statistic all season.

Miller, 22, actually signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona, but lasted until June with the team before he was cut loose.

During his five years at Arizona, Miller caught 95 passes for 1,117 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
