Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports that the New England Patriots have signed WR Jabar Gaffney to a two-year deal.
Gaffney was recently released by the Washington Redskins despite putting up nearly 1000 yards receiving and five touchdowns last year. The Patriots have already added a plethora of receivers during the offseason which includes likes of Brandon Lloyd, Anthony Gonzalez, and Donte’ Stallworth, all of whom will end up competing with Chad Ochocinco and Deion Branch for roster spots.
The fact that Patriots gave Gaffney a two-year deal suggests that he’ll almost certainly make the team. This really doesn’t look good for Ochocinco’s chances of making the Patriots team next year.
