Raiders In Talks To Play Home Games In England Next Year

According to the Daily Mail, the Oakland Raiders are in talks with Tottenham to play their eight homes games in England next year.

The Tottenham Stadium has been refurbished to include an artificial surface for NFL games.

This fits with a report from Jay Glazer of FOX Sports who mentioned last week that London is being talked about as a potential option for the Raiders’ 2019 home.

According to Glazer, the possibility of playing home games overseas is being discussed right now and was even suggested by other NFL owners.

They’re still weighing how everything would work in terms of home games in London, but it’s at least something being discussed behind the scenes as the Raiders try to find a temporary home for the 2019 season.

The Raiders and the San Francisco Giants have discussed AT&T Park serving as a temporary home next year and other locations have also been tossed out.

The NFL needs to have a location for all 32 teams in order to put together the full schedule for next season, which is why the Raiders under pressure to get a plan in place for next season.

We’ll have more regarding the Raiders as the news is available.
