Raiders Placing QB Nathan Peterman On Injured Reserve

The Oakland Raiders are placing QB Nathan Peterman on injured reserve Monday with an elbow injury, according to Jerry McDonald.

Ian Rapoport reports that Peterman has a small tear in a non-supporting ligament in his elbow.

This explains why the Raiders claimed QB DeShone Kizer off waivers on Sunday.

Oakland will now have Kizer and Mike Glennon behind Derek Carr on their roster this season.

Peterman, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bills back in 2017. The Bills made the decision to move on from Peterman in November of last year and he eventually signed on to the Raiders’ practice squad.

Oakland brought Peterman back on a futures contract this past January.

In 2018, Peterman appeared in four games for the Bills and completed 54.3 percent of his passes for 296 yards, one touchdown and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 50 yards and touchdown.
