Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Raiders have released RBÂ Taiwan Jones on Thursday.
Jones, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2011. He was in the final year of his four-year, $5 million contract and set to make a base salary of $1.1 million for the 2017 season.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Jones will free up $1.15 million of available cap space while creating no dead money.
In 2016, Jones appeared in 13 games and rushed for -8 yards on one carry to go alon gwith four receptions for 43 yards receiving and 112 kick return yards.
