Raiders Waive DB Shaquille Richardson From IR With Settlement

The Oakland Raiders officially waived DB Shaquille Richardson from injured reserve with a settlement on Thursday.

Richardson, 26, was taken in the fifth-round of last year’s draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He lasted just over a year in Pittsburgh before he was cut before the 2015 draft.

Richardson later caught on with the Cardinals and Titans before signing with the Panthers in May of 2016. Unfortunately, he was cut loose a few months later.

The Raiders signed Richardson to a futures contract this past January, but was waived a few weeks ago with an injury designation and later reverted to their injured reserve list.

Richardson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
