Raiders Won’t Activate DT Eddie Vanderdoes From PUP List, Reverts To IR

On Monday, Raiders HC Jon Gruden announced that they will not be activating DT Eddie Vanderdoes from the PUP list, which means he’ll revert to injured reserve and miss the entire 2018 season.

Gruden explained that they want to be cautious with Vanderdoes and think long-term.

Vanderdoes, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.261 million contract and set to make base salaries of $589,000 and $679,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Vanderdoes appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and recorded 18 tackles and no sacks.
