The Los Angeles Rams officially activated WR Mike Thomas from the exempt list on Monday and waived S Maurice Alexander.
Thomas just finished serving his four-game suspension for violating NFL policy on performance-enhancing drugs policy.
Thomas, 23, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL draft by the Rams. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.45 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 (2017), $630,000 (2018), and $720,000 (2019) over the remainder of the contract.
In 2016, Thomas appeared in 15 games for the Rams and caught just three passes for 37 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He added another 180 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 105 total snaps last season.
