Rams Trade Conditional Draft Pick For WR Brandon Lloyd

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that the deal is final and the Rams will send a conditional 2012 draft that could end up being fifth round pick but is a sixth-round pick right now.

That’s a pretty reasonable asking price for a receiver that is coming off of a season where he led the NFL in receptions.

NFL.com’s Jason La Canfora reports that the Denver Broncos are close to trading WR Brandon Lloyd to the St Louis Rams. Compensation isn’t known at this point but well have updates as the news becomes available.

Lloyd will now join his former head coach Josh McDaniels who was able to help resurrect his career in Denver last season. The Rams are in desperate need of wide receiver and Lloyd will certainly be their No. 1 receiver immediately.

This is actually good news for fantasy owners as Lloyd will see plenty of action instead of playing in a run-first offense with Tim Tebow as his quarterback.
