The Los Angeles Rams officially signed DB Steve Williams to a contract and waived LB Nicholas Grigsby, per Myles Simmons.
- The Rams also signed OL David Arkin to their practice squad and waived RB Terrence Magee.
The Rams’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL Isaiah Battle
- LB Brandon Chubb
- DL Fox Morgan
- RB Aaron Green
- DB Michel Jordan
- OL David Arkin
- WR Paul McRoberts
- DB Blake Countess
- DB Isaiah Johnson
- TE Bryce Williams
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Rams are expected to sign CB Steve Williams to a contract on Thursday.
- Rapoport mentions that Williams had interest from several teams before deciding to join the Rams.
Williams, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Chargers back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.353 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season when he was cut loose last week.
In 2015, Williams appeared in 13 games for the Chargers and recorded 19 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, a recovery and five pass defenses.
