Rams Proactively Monitoring CB Janoris Jenkins Every Day

The St. Louis Rams expect to have somebody, whether it be GM Les Snead or another person within the organization, checking in on CB Janoris Jenkins every day, according to Sports Illustrated’s Peter King.

There’s been a ton of coverage related to Jenkins history of off-the-field issues, but Snead was apparently willing to take a gamble on his first-round talent.

I look the kid in the eye and said, ‘It’s you and me,’ ” Snead said of his meeting with Jenkins.

Snead added that they may not have tanen Jenkins if they didn’t have so many early-round picks. Jenkins was not the only cornerback taken by the Rams; they also selected Trumaine Johnson, out of Montana, in the third round. St Louis has to be happy with the talent that they’ve added to their roster, but they’re taking a calculated Risk in regards to Jenkins. It will certainly be interesting to see how things play out for them during the summer.
