Ravens & Patriots Options For Charles Woodson?

According to ESPN’s John Clayton, the Baltimore Ravens or the New England Patriots could be potential landing spots for recently DB Charles Woodson.

Clayton adds that Woodson could be a contingency plan for the if Ed Reed leaves for another team like New England or the Colts. Woodson’s agent mentioned that he would like to play for a Super Bowl contender next year and franchise have maintain prolonged success.

Ed Werder tossed out the Broncos earlier the week as another speculative option for Woodson, while ESPN’s Pat Yasinskas believes the Buccaneers and Saints could both have interest depending on how things play out regarding their own players.

Woodson, 36, has clearly lost a step in recent years and the transition to safety didn’t produce the results that many believed it would. He can still play, but is nowhere near worth the $10 million he had coming to him before Green Bay cut him loose.

Woodson isn’t subject to waivers, so he’s available to sign on with a new team immediately.
