Ravens Sign Former Lions WR Jeremy Ross To Their Practice Squad

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Ravens have signed former Lions WR Jeremy Ross to their practice squad on Monday.

This is an interesting move, given that Ross is considered to be a vested veteran. However, Caplan notes that Ross was still eligible to be placed on the team’s taxi squad.

Here’s what the Ravens’ practice squad currently looks like:

  1. Jeremy Butler
  2. Kaleb Johnson
  3. Nick Perry
  4. Bryn Renner
  5. Konrad Reuland
  6. De’Ondre Wesley
  7. Charles James
  8. Daniel Brown
  9. Jeremy Ross

Ross, 27, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2011. He played briefly for the Colts before joining the Packers in October of 2012.

The Lions would later sign him to a contract and give him an opportunity to their kick returner where Ross showed some ability.

In 2014, Ross finished the year catching 24 passes for 314 yards receiving and a touchdown while also totaling 584 kick return yards and 284 punt return yards.
