Ravens Signing DL Ufomba Kamalu Off Patriots’ Practice Squad

Jim McBride of the Boston Globe is reporting that the Ravens are signing DL Ufomba Kamalu off of the Patriots’ practice squad.

It’s worth noting that the Ravens signed former Patriots DB Jordan Richards earlier in the day.

Kamalu, 26, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in 2016. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later signed on to Houston’s practice squad before eventually being called up in November.

The Texans re-signed Kamalu to an exclusive rights contract last year but he was once again among their final roster cuts. After a brief stint with the Cardinals, Kamalu was signed to the Patriots’ practice squad and he has been on and off of their roster ever since.

For his career, Ufomba has appeared in 15 games and recorded 12 tackles and three sacks.
