Ravens To Sign OL Parker Ehinger

According to Andrew Gillis, the Ravens plan to sign OL Parker Ehinger at some point on Tuesday.

Ehinger will replace veteran OL Andre Smith on the roster, who elected to opt out of the 2020 season.

Smith was actually signed when Baltimore placed Ehinger on injured reserve last season.

Ehinger, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. The Chiefs traded him to the Cowboys in return for CB Charvarius Ward near the end of the 2018 preseason.

The Cowboys placed Ehinger on injured reserve after he injured his knee in practice and wound up waiving him. The Jaguars claimed him off of waivers in April only to cut him loose soon after.

Ehinger also had a brief stint with the Cardinals but was among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason. He signed with the Ravens’ practice squad after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Baltimore promoted Ehinger to the active roster late in the 2019 season. The Ravens elected not to tender him an offer as an exclusive rights free agent after he landed on injured reserve again to end the season.

In 2019, Ehinger played in two games for the Ravens and made one start.
