Redskins Hire Nate Kaczor As Special Teams Coordinator

The Washington Redskins announced Saturday that they’ve hired Nate Kaczor as their new special teams coordinator.

We are excited to have Nate join our staff. We have had the opportunity to face his special teams play during his time at Tampa Bay and respected competing against him,” said Jay Gruden. “He is a competitor and we have noticed and admired the intensity his units have played with through the course of his time as a special teams coordinator and assistant coach in the NFL.”

Kaczor spent 17 years as a college coach before taking his first NFL coaching job with the Jaguars as their assistant special teams coach back in 2008. He spent four years in Jacksonville before joining the Titans in 2013 as their special teams coordinator.

The Buccaneers would later hire Kaczor as their special teams coordinator for the 2016 and he spent the past three seasons in Tampa Bay.

According to FootballOutsiders, the Buccaneers’ special teams unit ranked No. 29 in the NFL last year.
