Redskins Sign 10 To Practice Squad Including DT Louis Nix & TE Wes Saxton

The Washington Redskins announced that they’ve signed 10 players to their practice squad on Monday including former Giants DT Louis Nix.

The Redskins’ practice squad consists of:

1. OT Isaiah Williams
2. WR Maurice Harris
3. LB Lynden Trail
4. WR Kendal Thompson
5. G Nila Kasitati
6. TE Wes Saxton
7. OL Vinston Painter
8. RB Mack Brown
9. DE Matt Ioannidis
10. DT Louis Nix

Nix, 25, is a a former third-round pick of the Texans back in May of 2014. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2,852,252 rookie contract when he was among the Texans’ final roster at the start of the season.

The Giants elected to claim him off of waivers at the start of last year and brought him back on a future/reserve contract this past January. However, he was cut loose last week as the Giants got down to 53 players.

In 2015, Nix appeared in four games for the Giants, but did not record a single statistic.
