According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Redskins are signing rookie LB Gary Johnson to a contract on Saturday.
Johnson, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Texas back in May. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Chiefs.
However, Kansas City waived Johnson a month later.
During his college career at Texas, Johnson recorded 147 tackles, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery, and two pass defenses over the course of two seasons and 23 games played.
