Redskins Waive DB Kyshoen Jarrett With Failed Physical Designation

The Washington Redskins announced that they’ve waive DB Kyshoen Jarrett with a failed physical designation on Monday.

Jarrett went down with a shoulder injury that resulted in a nerve damage issue during the team’s regular season finale after a collision with Cowboys RB Darren McFadden.

Jarrett, 23, was taken in the sixth round of last year’s NFL draft. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $2,415,628 rookie contract that includes $135,628 fully guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Jarrett appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and recorded 58 tackles, on interceptions, one forced fumble and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 54 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
