Redskins Worked Out 3 Players Including TE Connor Hamlett

According to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Redskins brought in a few players for workouts on Monday including WR Corey Washington, WR Marcus Lucas, and Connor Hamlett.

The Redskins wound up signing Washington to their practice squad on Monday.

Washington, 23, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Newberry back in May of last year. He lasted just a few weeks with the Cardinals before he was waived and later claimed by the Giants.

Unfortunately for Washington, he was among the Giants’ final roster at the start of the regular season and was later waived from the injured reserve list with an injury settlement.

In 2014, Washington appeareed in 14 games for the Giants and caught five passes for 52 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Hamlett, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Oregon State back in May, but later signed a three-year, $1.58 million contract with the Jaguars. However, he was among the Jaguars’ final roster cuts over a month ago.

Hamlett had a brief stint with the Eagles before signing to the Saints’ practice squad a month ago.
