Jason La Canfora reports that the Redskins are working out “at least” three tight ends on Sunday including veteran D.J. Williams.

Washington is clearly in need of tight end help now that they’ve lost both Niles Paul and Logan Paulsen for the season in recent days.

Williams, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Green Bay Packers back in 2011. The Packers placed him on waivers at the start of the 2013 season.

Williams later caught on with the Patriots, but was once again waived before the start of the 2014 regular season.

The Buccaneers signed him to a contract in November last year. However, he was once again placed on waivers just a few weeks later.

In 2013, Williams appeared in nine games for New England, but didn’t record a single reception.

We’ll have more regarding who else is working out for Washington today as the news is available.
