Report: Brandon Flowers To Decide On Next Team By Midweek

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that free agent CB Brandon Flowers is expected to make a decision regarding his next team by “midweek.”

  •  La Canfora adds that there are “plenty of suitors” for Flowers.

Up to this point, Flowers has only met with the Chargers, who figure to be one of the top candidates to sign the former Pro Bowl corner.

However, previous reports have mentioned that as many as ten NFL teams have contacted Flowers’ reps since he was cut loose a little over a week ago.

The list on interested teams reportedly includes: the 49ers, Browns, Falcons, Lions, Patriots, Ravens, Steelers, Texans, Titans and Vikings.

Flowers, 28, is coming off of a down season, but reports have mentioned that he expressed a desire to leave Kansas City last season after he was forced to play in the slot. Flowers has already put together a number of quality seasons in the NFL and should have plenty to offer a new team in the coming years.

Last season, Flowers appeared in 13 games and totaled 68 tackles, one sack, an interceptions and seven pass defenses for the Chiefs.

We have Flowers listed as the No. 1 player in our recently updated Top 50 – Best Available Free Agents list.

We’ll have more regarding Flowers and his next team as the news is available.
