Mike Mulligan of the Chicago Tribune reports that a Vikings source has informed him that the free agent ILB Brian Urlacher has been in contact with the Minnesota Vikings.
Mulligan’s source added that Vikings are “monitoring’’ the situation, but believe Urlacher will ultimately re-sign with the Bears.
The Cardinals and Cowboys reportedly have interest in Urlacher as well.
Urlacher, 35, recently extended the Bears a proposal on a two-year deal, but the team has yet to offer a counter proposal.
Mulligan’s source mentioned that Urlacher is likely targeting a deal close to $5.5 million, but it appears as though that may be too much for the Bears liking.
