Report: Chargers OL Jeromey Clary Takes Pay Cut

Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that Chargers OL Jeromey Clary agreed to reduce his salary from $4.55 million to $1.6 million for the 2014 season.

In turn, the Chargers have created $2.95 million in available cap space, according to Yates.

Clary is currently on PUP after he underwent offseason hip and shoulder surgeries. San Diego has been forced to use Johnnie Troutman and Chris Watt in his place.

Clary, 30, is in the final year of his four-year, $20 million contract that included a $6.8 million signing bonus.

Last year, Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 71 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
