Report: Darren McFadden Avoided A Serious Injury Sunday

According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden avoided a serious hamstring injury during Sundays loss against the Washington Redskins.

HC Dennis Allen has yet to receive information regarding timetable for McFadden’s injury.

Meanwhile, Marcel Reece‘s injury is considered more severe than McFaddens which could result in Rashad Jennings seeing an expanded role this Sunday.

Health concerns are nothing new to McFadden and the Raiders, as he has yet to complete a full NFL season during his six-year career. McFadden’s extensive history of health concerns figures to impact his contract discussions at some point next offseason when he’s an unrestricted free agent.

We have McFadden listed as the No. 35 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list.
